Emergency Food Pantry

The Resident Service Coordinator got an idea last Spring of 2020 to start what she calls the “Emergency Food Pantry”. She met with the Property Manger and agreed to use a utility room on the 3rd floor of the building. RSC requested for tables and shelves from maintenance and started off with just a few can goods from her own home. As time went on, she shared the news with Community Partners and they began to donate non-perishable foods, toiletries, cleaning products and medical equipment. The Emergency Food Pantry today is filled up to the point where we must limit how much we can store in the room. It is a one- time shop room for residents who new move ins and residents who are in desperate need of items. We are thankful to have this room at Ashland Manor Apartments.
