About Us

MJ Housing & Services specializes in enhancing the lives of seniors and families living in affordable housing communities across the United States. We provide quality service coordination and educational programming focused on empowering our senior and disabled residents to live independently and our families to be economically self-sufficient.

 

Currently, MJ Housing & Services serves over 5,000 residents at 55 affordable housing communities. Each apartment complex offers free, comprehensive services to all interested residents on-site. Culturally sensitive services are provided to all of our residents, including the most needy low income populations. 

 

MJ Housing provides full service employment, training, supervision, grant administration and 3rd party Quality Assurance on a national level.

Leadership

Madelyne J. Pfeiffer, M.S.W, C.F.R.E

Founder / CEO

Madelyne J. Pfeiffer is Founder and CEO of MJ Housing & Services, Inc., a company specializing in aging services, service coordination, coordinated care, quality assurance, and fund Raising focused on low income seniors and disabled individuals. She is an accomplished leader with a strong background in developing innovative team models and developing mutually beneficial partnerships. 

Ms. Pfeiffer has a history of success generating funds through grants and bank community reinvestment funds to subsidize innovative programs for seniors and disabled adults living in affordable housing communities across the United States.

Ms. Pfeiffer has a BA from Claremont McKenna College in psychology and fine arts and a Masters in Social Work (MSW) from USC, and a Certificate in Fundraising (CFRE) from Indiana University. 

Ms. Pfeiffer is currently an AASC faculty and travels nationally providing consulting and training to developers, property management companies, service providers and health care companies.

Diane Whitney, M.ED

Vice President

Diane Whitney, an experienced leader, is recognized for her proven vision of excellence, achieved through insightful connection, substantiated by a supportive infrastructure which continues to promote growth and development of the MJ team, services, and culture of the company.

 

Her career journey through non-profit leadership, counseling and care coordination, led her to MJ Housing & Services in 2012. Diane is driven by her belief in the immense value of aging services, the diverse and talented MJ team, highlighted with the freedom to strive while maintaining personal and professional integrity.
 

Diane holds a M. ED Degree in Counseling, B.S. Degree in Human Development, and a Paralegal Certificate, all earned at Colorado State University. Diane is originally a Kansas girl who fell in love with the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. When Diane is not connecting with Service Coordinators and Affordable Properties, you will find her spending time with her beloved horses, dogs, and family at the foot of the Rocky Mountains.

Charles A. Brown

Chief of Operations

A new resident to sunny San Diego, Charles relocated here by way of Austin, Texas. Prior to coming to MJ Housing and Services, he served as the Operations Administrator / Manager for Children’s Legal Services of San Diego, a nonprofit that provides legal advocacy to children in the foster care system.

He also has served as the Executive Director of Business Services for the Manor Independent School District which services 13 campuses from K-12. Prior, he was an accountant for Greenblum Investment Partners and Law Firm. Before relocating to Austin, Texas he served as an Accountant for the Chaffey Joint Union High School District office in Ontario, California.

He currently serves as an adjudicator for Texas Color Guard Circuit, Winter Guard Association of Southern California, West Coast Winter Guard Circuit, USBands , YEA – Youth Education in the Arts and is an invited guest to many other circuits across the country. He has also judged for Drum Corps International and Winter Guard International. He is an invited speaker and clinician to many organizations around the country.

He currently serves on the board of directors for the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus and is the past board president for the Arcos Dance Company. He was also the past president for the Texas Association for School Business Officials.
